Ephesians 1:7-8 "God's grace lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding"

Ephesians 3:10 "Through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known"

1 Corinthians 1:30 "You are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God"

Colossians 2:3 "In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge"

Ephesians 3:17 "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith"

If Jesus lives in me, he makes me wise!

1.  I will be wise in the LIFE I live

  • Ephesians 5:15 "Be very careful then, how you live (walk), not as unwise but as wise"
  • Ephesians 5:8 "Now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light"
  • Ephesians 5:11 "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness"

2.  I will be wise with the TIME I live

  • Ephesians 5:16 "Making the most of every opportunity (redeeming the time), because the days are evil"
  • Time is chronos (general time) and kairos (special moment of time/opportunity)
  • Mark 1:15 "The time (kairos) is come, the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the gospel"
  • Psalm 39:4 "Let me know how fleeting my life is" (1 Corinthians 7:29 "The time is short")
  • Psalm 90:12 "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom"
  • Colossians 4:5 "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity" (Luke 4:13 "The devil left him until an opportune time/kairos)"
  • 2 Corinthians 6:2 "Now is the time (kairos)...now is the day of salvation"

3. I will be wise for the PURPOSE I live

  • Psalm 138:8 "The Lord will fulfill (accomplish, complete, work out) his purpose for me (his plans for my life)"
  • Ephesians 5:17 "Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is"
  • Psalm 14:1 "The fools says in his heart, 'There is no God'"
  • Proverbs 14:9 "Fools mock at sin (make fun of guilt or making amends for sin)
  • Luke 12:19, 20 "I'll say to myself, 'You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink, and be merry.' But God said to him 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'"
  • Ephesians 5:17 "Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is"
  • Ephesians 5:10 "Find out what pleases the Lord"
