How The Battle Was Won!
October 21, 2018
In the battle between good and evil, Christ has already PREVAILED!
John 16:33 - “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 - “But thanks be to God. He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 8:37 - “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Since Christ has overcome all manner of evil, we too can OVERCOME and and every challenge!
Joshua 10:28-42 - After defeating the 5 Amorite Kings at Gibeon, Joshua and the Israelites move out to conquer Makkedah, Libnah, Lachish, Eglon, Hebron, and Debir.
Joshua 10:40 - “So Joshua subdued the whole region, including the hill country, the Negev, the western foothills and the mountain slopes, together with all their kings.”
Joshua 10:42 - “All these kings and their lands Joshua conquered in one campaign, because the Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.”
1 John 5:4 - “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”
Revelation 3:21 - “He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on His throne.”
Once we realize that the Lord intends for us to be victorious, the we have to step out in faith to do our part and claim what is rightfully ours.
Joshua 10:9 - “After an all-night march from Gilgal, Joshua took (the Amorites) by surprise. They marched for 20 miles and had to go up 3,300 feet of elevation. After this exhausting all night march, they had to fight 5 armies. God was fighting for them, but they also had to march and fight to claim the victory.”
Joshua 10:28-42 - Joshua and the Israelites had to follow the Lord into battle against all the kings and armies in the southern Kingdom.
James 2:17 - “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
James 2;18 - “Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”
