1. Christianity is a TEAM sport!
When we move, we move out together.
Joshua 1:10 - "So Joshua ordered the officers to go through the camp and tell the people to get ready."
Ecclesiastes 4:9 - "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up."
2. Moving out involves HELPING OUT!
When God blesses you, he expects you to bless others.
Joshua 1:12-14 - Joshua reminded the Israelites that they were to help one another until they had all taken possession of the Promised Land.
Galatians 6:2 - "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
Hebrews 6:10 - "God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them."
3. Helping out involves SACRIFICE.
Numbers 32:17 - "But we will arm ourselves for battle and go ahead of the Israelites until we have brought them to their place."
Hebrews 13:16 - "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
4. Helping out requires OBEDIENCE.
Joshua 1:16 - "Then they answered Joshua, 'Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. Just as we fully obeyed Moses so we will obey you."
Joshua 22:1-3 - "...You have done all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded, and you have obeyed me in everything I commanded. For a long time now you have not deserted your fellow Israelites but have carried out the mission the Lord your God gave you."
Joshua 22:5 - "But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul."
