5 “Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’”
~ Revelation 21:5
1. Thanks to Christ we are a new creation!
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Romans 6:4 – “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
I Peter 1:3-5 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
2. Sanctification isn’t automatic. It’s a process of change initiated by us and nurtured by the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 139:23-24 – “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”
Ephesians 4:22-24 – “That you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”
3. Thanks to Christ we are being transformed into his likeness and image.
Romans 12:2 – “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 – “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
I Corinthians 15:51-53 – “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
4. Jesus is making all things new.
Revelation 21:5 – “Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’”
Philippians 3:20-21 – “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”
2 Peter 3:13 – “Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”

5 “El que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: ¡Yo hago nuevas todas las cosas!
Y añadió: ‘Escribe, porque estas palabras son verdaderas y dignas de confianzal.’”
~ Apocalipsis 21:5
1. Gracias a Dios somos nuevas criaturas.
2 Corintios 5:17 – “Por lo tanto, si alguno está en Cristo, es una nueva creación. ¡Lo viejo ha pasado, ha llegado ya lo nuevo!”
Romanos 6:4 – “Por tanto, mediante el bautismo fuimos sepultados con él en su muerte. De modo que, así como Cristo resucitó por el glorioso poder del Padre, también nosotros andemos en una vida nueva.”
I Pedro 1:3-5 – “¡Bendito sea Dios, Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo! Por su gran misericordia, nos ha hecho nacer de nuevo mediante la resurrección de Jesucristo de entre los muertos, para que tengamos una esperanza viva y recibamos una herencia que no se puede destruir, contaminar o marchitar. Tal herencia está reservada en el cielo para ustedes, a quienes el poder de Dios protege mediante la fe hasta que llegue la salvación que se ha de revelar en los últimos tiempos.”
2. La santificacion no es automatica. Es un proceso de cambio iniciado por nosotros y alimentado por el Espiritu Santo.
Salmos 139:23-24 – “Examíname, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón; pruébame y conoce mis ansiedades. Fíjate si voy por un camino que te ofende y guíame por el camino eterno.”
Efesios 4:22-24 – “Se les enseñó que debían quitarse el ropaje de la vieja naturaleza, la cual está corrompida por los deseos engañosos; ser renovados en la actitud de su mente; y ponerse el ropaje de la nueva naturaleza, creada a imagen de Dios, en verdadera justicia y santidad.”
3. Gracias a Cristo somos transformados a su imagen y semejanza.
Romanos 12:2 – “No se amolden al mundo actual, sino sean transformados mediante la renovación de su mente. Así podrán comprobar cómo es la voluntad de Dios: buena, agradable y perfecta.”
2 Corintios 3:18 – “Así, todos nosotros, que con el rostro descubierto reflejamos como en un espejo la gloria del Señor, somos transformados a su semejanza con más y más gloria por la acción del Señor, que es el Espíritu.”
I Corintios 15:51-53 – “Fíjense bien en el misterio que voy a revelar: No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados, en un instante, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, al toque final de la trompeta. Pues sonará la trompeta y los muertos resucitarán con un cuerpo incorruptible, y nosotros seremos transformados. Porque lo corruptible tiene que revestirse de lo incorruptible y lo mortal, de inmortalidad.”
4. Jesus esta haciendo todo nuevo.
Apocalipsis 21:5 – “El que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: ¡Yo hago nuevas todas las cosas! Y añadió: ‘Escribe, porque estas palabras son verdaderas y dignas de confianza.’”
Filipenses 3:20-21 – “Nosotros somos ciudadanos del cielo, de donde anhelamos recibir al Salvador, el Señor Jesucristo. Él transformará nuestro cuerpo miserable para que sea como su cuerpo glorioso, mediante el poder con que somete a sí mismo todas las cosas.”
2 Pedro 3:13 – “Pero según su promesa, nosotros esperamos un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva, en los que habita la justicia.”
