1. Joseph forgives his brothers.

Genesis 45:5-8 – “And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping. But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.”
Genesis 50:15-17 – “When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, “What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?” So they sent word to Joseph, saying, “Your father left these instructions before he died: ‘This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.”
Luke 23:34 – “Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.’ And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.”

2. Joseph’s brothers submit to Joseph as his slaves.

Genesis 50:18 – “His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. ‘We are your slaves,’ they said.”
Romans 1:1-4 – “Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God — the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.”
I Corinthians 7:22-23 – “For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.”

3. Joseph saves his family and many others.

Genesis 50:19-21 – “But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.”
Acts 5:31 – “God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.”
Colossians 2:13 – “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.”
Colossians 1:13-14 – “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

1. José perdona a sus hermanos.

Génesis 45:5-8 – “Y ahora, no se angustien ni se enojen por haberme vendido aquí, porque para salvar vidas me envió Dios delante de ustedes. Hace dos años que hay hambre en la tierra, y durante los próximos cinco años no habrá arado ni cosecha. Pero Dios me envió delante de ustedes para preservarles un remanente en la tierra y para salvar sus vidas mediante una gran liberación. Así que, no fueron ustedes quienes me enviaron aquí, sino Dios. Él me hizo padre de Faraón, señor de toda su casa y gobernador de todo Egipto.”
Génesis 50:15-17 – “Cuando los hermanos de José vieron que su padre había muerto, dijeron: “¿Qué tal si José nos guarda rencor y nos paga por todo el mal que le hicimos?” Así que enviaron un mensaje a José: Tu padre dejó estas instrucciones antes de morir: ‘Esto es lo que debes decirle a José: Te pido que perdones a tus hermanos los pecados y las injusticias que cometieron al tratarte tan mal.’ Ahora, por favor, perdona los pecados de los siervos del Dios de tu padre. Cuando le llegó el mensaje, José lloró.”
Lucas 23:34 – “Jesús dijo: ‘Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen.’ Y se repartieron la ropa echando suertes.”

2. Los hermanos de José se someten a José como sus esclavos.

Génesis 50:18 – “Entonces vinieron sus hermanos y se postraron ante él. ‘Somos tus esclavos’, dijeron.”
Romanos 1:1-4 – “Pablo, siervo de Cristo Jesús, llamado a ser apóstol y apartado para el evangelio de Dios, el evangelio que él prometió de antemano por medio de sus profetas en las Sagradas Escrituras acerca de su Hijo, quien en cuanto a su vida terrenal era descendiente de David, y quien por el Espíritu de santidad fue designado Hijo de Dios con poder por su resurrección de entre los muertos: Jesucristo nuestro Señor.”
1 Corintios 7:22-23 – “Porque el que fue llamado siendo esclavo a la fe en el Señor, es liberado del Señor; de igual manera, el que fue llamado siendo libre, es esclavo de Cristo. Ustedes fueron comprados por precio; no se hagan esclavos de los seres humanos.”

3. José salva a su familia y a muchos otros.

Génesis 50:19-21 – “Pero José les dijo: “No tengan miedo. ¿Acaso estoy en lugar de Dios? Ustedes pensaron hacerme daño, pero Dios lo transformó en bien para lograr lo que ahora se está haciendo: salvar muchas vidas. Así que, no tengan miedo. Yo proveeré para ustedes y sus hijos.” Y los tranquilizó y les habló con ternura.”
Hechos 5:31 – “Dios lo exaltó a su diestra como Príncipe y Salvador, para llevar a Israel al arrepentimiento y al perdón de sus pecados.”
Colosenses 2:13 – “Cuando ustedes estaban muertos en sus pecados y en la incircuncisión de su carne, Dios los vivificó con Cristo. Él nos perdonó todos nuestros pecados.”
Colosenses 1:13-14 – “Porque él nos ha librado de la potestad de las tinieblas, y nos ha trasladado al reino de su amado Hijo, en quien tenemos redención por su sangre, el perdón de pecados.”
