Matthew 11
1 After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee.
2 When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples 3 to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”
4 Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: 5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.
6 Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
6 And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.” (NASB)
7 As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? 8 If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces. 9 Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.
10 This is the one about whom it is written: “‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’
11 Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Colossians 1
24 Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.
25 I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— 26 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people.
27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.
Matthew 11
12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it.

16 “The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John; since that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
Luke 16:16
13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come. 15 Whoever has ears, let them hear.
Discussion Questions:
1. Have you ever seen or experienced the Lord’s miraculous power in healing or answered prayer?
2. Have you ever prayed intensely for something the Lord did not answer in the way you hoped and prayed for?
3. Have you ever been offended by the Lord’s lack of response to your heartfelt request?
4. Have you struggled to see yourself as having significant influence in God’s kingdom?
5. Did you have a struggle against sins or demonic forces when you first began to follow Jesus?
6. Do you still have intense struggles from time to time with temptations, resentments, offenses, rejection or demonic forces?

1 Cuando Jesús terminó de dar instrucciones a sus doce discípulos, se fue de allí a enseñar y a predicar en otros pueblos.
2 Juan estaba en la cárcel y, al enterarse de lo que Cristo estaba haciendo, envió a sus discípulos a que le preguntaran:
3 — ¿Eres tú el que ha de venir o debemos esperar a otro?
4 Jesús respondió: “— Vayan y cuéntenle a Juan lo que están oyendo y viendo: 5 Los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los que tienen alguna enfermedad en su piel son sanados, los sordos oyen, los muertos resucitan y a los pobres se les anuncian las buenas noticias.”
6 Dichoso el que no tropieza por causa mía.
6 Y bienaventurado es el que no se escandaliza de Mí. (NBLA)
7 Mientras se iban los discípulos de Juan, Jesús comenzó a hablarle a la multitud acerca de Juan: ¿Qué salieron a ver al desierto? ¿Una caña sacudida por el viento? 8 Si no, ¿qué salieron a ver? ¿A un hombre vestido con ropa fina? Claro que no, pues los que usan ropa de lujo están en los palacios de los reyes. 9 Entonces, ¿qué salieron a ver? ¿A un profeta? Sí, les digo, y más que profeta.
10 Este es de quien está escrito: “Yo estoy por enviar a mi mensajero delante de ti, el cual preparará tu camino.”
11 Les aseguro que entre los mortales no se ha levantado nadie más grande que Juan el Bautista; sin embargo, el más pequeño en el reino de los cielos es más grande que él.
Colosenses 1
24 Ahora me alegro en medio de mis sufrimientos por ustedes y voy completando en mí mismo lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo, en favor de su cuerpo, que es la iglesia.
25 De esta llegué a ser servidor según el plan que Dios me encomendó para ustedes: el dar cumplimiento a la palabra de Dios, 26 anunciando el misterio que se ha mantenido oculto por siglos y generaciones, pero que ahora se ha manifestado a su pueblo santo. 27 A estos Dios se propuso dar a conocer cuál es la gloriosa riqueza de este misterio entre las naciones, que es Cristo en ustedes, la esperanza de gloria.
28 A este Cristo proclamamos, aconsejando y enseñando con toda sabiduría a todas las personas, para presentarlas completamente maduras en su unión con Cristo. 29 Con este fin trabajo y lucho fortalecido por el poder de Cristo que obra en mí.
Mateo 11
12 Desde los días de Juan el Bautista hasta ahora, el reino de los cielos ha venido avanzando contra viento y marea, y los que se esfuerzan logran aferrarse a él.
12 Desde los días de Juan el Bautista hasta ahora, el reino de los cielos sufre violencia, y los violentos lo conquistan por la fuerza. (NBLA)
13 Porque todos los Profetas y la Ley profetizaron hasta Juan. 14 Y si quieren aceptar mi palabra, Juan es el Elías que había de venir. 15 El que tenga oídos, que oiga.
Lucas 16:16
16 La Ley y los Profetas se proclamaron hasta Juan. Desde entonces se anuncian las buenas noticias del reino de Dios y todos se esfuerzan por entrar en él.
Preguntas para Discutir:
1. Alguna vez has visto o experimentado el poder milagroso del Señor en salud o contestando una oracion?
2. Haz orado intensamente por algo que el Señor no contesto en la manera que esperabas y orabas?
3. Alguna vez te has ofendido por la falta de respuesta del Señor a una peticion de corazon tuya?
4. Haz sufrido para verte a ti mismo teniendo influencia suficiente en el reino de Dios?
5. Tuviste que sufrir contra pecados o fuerzas demoniacas cuando empezastes a seguir a Jesus?
6. Todavia tienes sufrimientos de vez en cuando con tentaciones, resentiminetos, ofensas, rechazo o fuerzas demoniacas?
